Hi there Florida DECA!
My name is Christina Delgado, I’m apart of Team 60 & I’m one of your new VP’s. I wanted to start off by thanking everyone who got me into this extraordinary position I’m in today (it still doesn’t even feel quite real). My chapter was honestly so helpful and supportive and I don’t think I could have ended up here without them, I love them so incredibly much, so THANK YOU HML TROJAN DECA. Next, I wanna thank every single member of FL DECA. Without you guys, Florida DECA wouldn’t be what it is today. Your passion for this association is what makes it something worth being apart of. Thank you to everyone who actually listened to the speeches given at this year’s CDC, came to the candidates booths to support, asked their questions during caucus sessions, and finally voted for who the officers they felt as though would keep Florida DECA as amazing as it already is & plans to better it in any way they can. Also, here’s a few things about me, so you can all get to know me a little better. I got to Hialeah Miami Lakes SHS, in District 10 which is Miami Dade and I turn 17 years old in October. At my high school, I participate in a few extra curricular activities. Other then now being a member of DECA for two years now (I’m very proud to say I qualified for states twice), I’m in my school’s National Honor Society, I’m the Vice President of my class in SGA, and a member of a few more clubs. Although, I don’t play sports for any of the teams in my school, I did do marching band & winter guard during my freshman year and I danced ballet for 11 and a half years. As for my future, I’d like to attend a four year university maybe outside of Florida, if given the opportunity, and I would like to go in to business law as a career. Now, as for this upcoming year for DECA, I really hope to make everyone proud and I truly believe this is gonna be a wonderful year. I’m really grateful that I accomplished the milestone of being elected, but I still have a whole year to reach other milestones, and I get to do it alongside my team. The rest Team 60 and I are definitely going to make Florida DECA better. I’m so excited to see what has yet to come. It was also so awesome meeting everyone at States this year, and I can’t wait to see familiar faces at ICDC and maybe even meet some new ones. Remember, we are DECA, we are EPIC, and we’re going to own our future in Anaheim this year! If you have any questions or need anything please feel free to contact me! christina@fldeca.org
