Hello Florida DECA!
I’m back again with this months video on a chapter spotlight. This spotlight is on Jupiter High School’s DECA! Their chapter has been around is 1967, making them a long standing chapter. After getting a chance to speak with their members and advisor, I realized what a great chapter they are! I love the emphasize they put on chapter bonding and friendship, instead of focusing solely on competition. Your chapter is your family and Jupiter DECA is a prime example of this. Their advisor, Johnnie Hubbard, was a DECA member himself, and you can tell how much he cares for his kids. Mr Hubbard was a DECA member in the high school division and the collegiate division, going on to become the International Collegiate President from 2014-2015. His expertise is in Sports marketing and managing, bringing a wonderful Sports Marketing Education Program to Jupiter High School. After talking to his students, it is clearly evident how much they care about their advisor and what he brings to their chapter. This is a chapter who works together, laughs together, and has fun together. To me this chapter represents true leaders who go above and beyond for each other, while not getting lost in the competition aspect of DECA. They are a well rounded chapter that brings a lot to the table for Florida DECA, and I want to thank them for that! Be sure to check out their social media to keep up with they are doing!
