![]() After enjoying the holiday season and receiving gifts and love from family and friends, its time to give back to the community. Whether it is through a school event or fundraiser or going on your own to help out a charity, try to keep those less fortunate in mind. It is always a great feeling to help out those in need of a Helping Hand. You could spend 30 minutes or your entire Saturday, but it all makes a difference. Your involvement is always appreciated by others, and you will not look back at that day with regret because it would have been time well spent. If you have been active in your community, I commend you. If not, it is never too late! All you have to do is find something you are really passionate and help out that cause. A great way to help out the community is to get involved in our statewide Helping Hands project. For our Career Development Conference, we will be collecting canned chicken, canned tuna, canned fruit, and canned dinners to go to the Manna Food Pantries of Escambia County. Escambia County is one of the poorest counties in Florida, and the food we donate will be feeding families at six pantries. I hope you all enjoyed your break and had a happy New Year!
