What is required to be on the council?
Your chapter advisor is the first step. He/she must approve your participation.
Got that....then lets make it happen!
You are going to be required to attend monthly meeting online. We have asked for two members to serve, and the other to serve as an alternate.
Monthly topics will be provided for you to research and discuss about improving your chapter and fellow chapters.
We will meet in person at the fall LTC and spring CDC. If you attend these conferences we will create a session to meet in person and develop strategies that you can use to make your chapter and our association stronger.

Each chapter selects two people to serve on the FDLC. The Florida DECA Officer will communicate with them directly via social media and webinars. It is the preference to have the chapter president and vice president serve on this council for a full year. Information will be shared in both directions.
History of the Florida DECA Leadership Council (FDLC)?

FDLC was inspired by Team 55 (53) Vice President Jason Richards. His goal was to get chapters in his home district to do a simple thing ...COMMUNICATE.
Team 56 took his example and established the FDLC. FDLC is a "committee" where each Chartered Association Officer is assigned specific chapters to communicate with during the school year.
