How does your chapter recruit new members?
The way Miramar High School recruits new members is by going to each classroom and explain what DECA is and what DECA is about .We also hold big events in school known as “club rush’ and “’New Student orientation”’ where all of the underclassmen come inside of our school gym and we let them get an experience of what DECA’s about and what we try to achieve. And the great benefits that comes with being in DECA like the “Gold seal scholarship’’ which they can receive by being in DECA for 3 years and the great experiences that come with being in DECA from multiple college visits like Keiser University and ASA College to the wonderful, breathtaking, and exciting trips like the Miami Dolphins and the Miami Heat where you learn what it takes to get those multi-billion dollar companies to run and what it came from. We also help students who want an industry certification cord at graduation by taking one of the four classes; Marketing Essentials, Marketing Applications, Marketing Management, and Marketing Directed Studies. Not to mention in order to make the students get really hooked we get officers and members from past years to come and speak with the students.
