Hey Florida DECA! My name is Ana Fernandez and I’m one of your Chartered Association Vice Presidents this year! Unfortunately, this is my last year at Cypress Bay High School, but I’m so glad you guys gave me the opportunity to serve this year for Florida DECA. I can’t thank you enough! Now that my high school career is ending, I’m applying to several colleges this year and my top two choices are UF and FSU where I hope to major in business!

Ever since I won this officer position at the Career Development Conference my life has changed for the better. I’ve had the opportunity to attend several conferences and gain many skills to bring back to you Florida DECA!  DECA is a big part of my life now and I can’t wait to meet you all whether it’s at the Emerging Leaders Conference or CDC. Other than being in DECA this year I will be traveling a lot! In the next few weeks I’ll be going back to my home country, Venezuela to reunite with my family! Apart from being fully involved in my DECA chapter and Florida DECA, I love competitive swimming and water polo as well as going out to eat with my friends. I look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming events so I can share my traveling experiences with all of you in addition to what I have learned as a Florida DEC A Chartered Association Officer!
